Editor, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (January 2020–April 2020)
  • ​Edited 3 manuals and 20+ small projects.
  • Proofread 2 manuals and 20+ small projects.
  • Lead 3 projects, worked with clients, estimated costs and deadlines, and assigned tasks to other editors.
  • Addressed editing queries and suggestions from readers.
  • Updated 1 index.
Managing Editor/Designer, Latter-day Saint Insights/Editing Research (September 2019–December 2019)
  • Managed a team of 16 editors, running meetings and making major decisions in procedures and style. 
  • Edited and approved 50+ articles before sending them to the Editor in Chief. 
  • Oversaw the rebranding of Latter-day Saint Insights and the beginning of a new publication (Editing Research), outlining procedures and the new style guide. 
  • Designed the new Latter-day Saint Insights logo and 30+ images for articles and social media.
  • Wrote 4 articles for Latter-day Saint Insights and 1 article for Editing Research. 
Editorial Assistant, BYU Studies Quarterly (April 2018–January 2020)
  • Edited 10+ book chapters and 40+ articles.
  • Researched and checked the sources for 20+ documents and formatted all footnotes. 
  • Wrote 3 book notices that were published in the quarterly journal.
  • Transcribed 10+ pages of old documents and edited 70+ pages of transcribed material using the procedures and style guide of the Joseph Smith Papers. 
Publicist/Head Publicist, Future House Publishing (September 2016–July 2017)
  • Wrote a press release that was picked up and published by Publishers Weekly. 
  • Edited and managed 2 websites, one of which needed to be redesigned, so I taught myself how to use WordPress and a little bit of HTML in order to reformat the website and edit the content. 
  • Managed 4 company email lists and 3 social media platforms, wrote content for emails and social media posts weekly, and increased the amount of email subscribers by 5,000+ people.
  • Communicated with 100+ authors for 3 cross-promotions that I organized monthly, publicizing the company’s products to an audience of over 200,000 people with minimal costs to the company.
  • Initiated 4 major projects that caught the attention of large audiences at little to no cost, gave the company legitimacy among larger publishers, and improved company procedures.

Other Experience
Club Secretary/Club President, STET: The Editors’ Network 
(August 2018–December 2019)
  • Organized and advertised for 7 events to help editing students at BYU network and prepare for their careers. 
  • Designed the club’s logo and 5+ flyers and handouts for activities. 
  • Ran meetings, improved club procedures, increased membership by over 75%, and expanded the club’s involvement with the editing program.
Tutor, BYU Tutoring (August 2018–May 2019)
  • Tutored 5 students in English and religion.
Test Scribe and Note Taker, University Accessibility Center (September 2017–May 2019)
  • Awarded as one of the top 2 volunteers in 2017 after just 1 semester of volunteer work.
  • Volunteered 18 hours in 1 semester for 4 clients with different disabilities.
