I adore working with Hannah. I am a novelist, and she and I collaborate frequently to polish my stories, query letters, synopses, and more. Over the past year, I've learned to trust her judgment as a wise and dedicated editor. She has such a clear sense for storytelling and for knowing what a text needs. Her skills encompass all aspects of a piece of writing, from the way characters and events are presented in a story, to the flow and coherence of paragraphs and sentences, to the minutiae of spelling and punctuation. She is especially good at cutting out unnecessary segments of writing and making whatever she's working with more concise. Her example is helping me to develop this skill as well. Through her careful and close readings of my stories, I've learned to be patient and thorough. She has helped me view the things I write more objectively, making them easier to edit. Because of her, I'm becoming a better writer and editor, and I know my abilities will only increase the more I work with her.
